Here’s hoping that certain members (you know who you are) stay away from this thread so it can remain open and act as a potential source of useful information to others…:)

    1. The Ja Mona demo will not open the image links under the ‘Featured Works’ section on the Front Page in IE8. Works fine with FF so could someone suggest how to resolve this bug please.

    2. Anybody have a pointer how to make the ‘symbol.png’ into an array so that the image changes with each top menu click?

    3. The FAQ section does not extend to the full width of the main content column. Simple CSS issue I suspect but could someone advise what to amend to make the FAQ section look correct?

    Many thanks in advance.

Open a new thread, start with some personal view about the current template and watch what happens. If your view is in any way derogatory towards JA or its template designs the thread expands at a rate of knots, the comments become more personal and eventually the moderators close the thread.

Excluding my own, this board so far contains 4 member threads – and two of those have already been closed down.

However, ask the JA Development Team and the JA community for technical help with a template bug and some CSS issues all goes silent.

    Speaks volumes doesn’t it.

Do you actually have a question regarding an issue you’re having with JA MONA, or are you just going to continue to complain?

Can I take it from your comment that you have completley missed the questions raised in my first post in this thread?

    Hi Limeweb,

I hope this wont start any controversy, but i would like to request you to open a normal thread, put your problem in it and wait for reply… No point starting these kind of threads for asking help, these threads will only lead to controversy. For solutions to your problem open a new thread please.

Also you can raise Support Ticket to get assistance, Not denying that for some of the issues support is delayed.

For complaints or to have open discussion with other members, please use General forums, starting such threads in the Template forum with such titles, will not be of much help. As long as everything is polite and doesnot harm any one in general or in personal manner, the threads remains. We respect your views.

    regards

    Arvind.

    Dear Arvind

I DID start a normal thread – see the first post . However, upon your advice I’ve started another on the same subject and it will be interesting to see if the response is any different to the first.

My second post simply pointed out the blindingly obvious. Offer an opinion and the thread rapidly spirals downwards – seek help and the silence is golden.

That you have responded only to my second post (there was a first that enumerated ‘my’ problems with the Ja Mona bugs) only serves to support my point.

    Hi Limeweb,

Trust me, your first post does not look like normal thread. Also the title is very much misleading from the probable problem faced by you with the specific template in question.

On a personal note, i would have at once appreciated this thread if you would have asked the questions as normal thread and if they were unanswered by Developers, at the same time you could have raised a support ticket, if that also was not answered, only then you could have posted this kind of title or thread.

Please note, whatever i said is purely personal view and request you not to take it personally.

    Regards

    Arvind

    drarvindc;140214Hi Limeweb,

Trust me Arvin – the situation under which I posted my first thread was abnormal – the previous threads had both been locked by moderators due to them going off-topic and becoming personalized. Hardly surprising therefore that I should seek both technical help and make a request that the thread not be locked.

There are some really good and helpful people here (see Scotty’s and cgdesign’s responses to the Image link thread).

You also refer to ‘your’ problems with the template and the ‘problems faced by you’. I can see how it would be my problem if I was seeking to customize a template, but when the template contains bugs surely they are everyone’s problem and not just mine? The solution to these bugs helps all members not just me alone.

If you have any influence with the JA developers that would be great. In my experience, rarely do any of the developers who designed a template either read or respond to ‘bug finds’ within the first couple of weeks of a template’s release. There seems, to me at least, to be a JA policy to let members try to sort things out themselves before the JA team gets involved. All this achieves however is to prolong the time it takes to get a new template reasonably stable. In my humble opinion it would be great to have those members of the JA team who worked on and are familiar with the template respond far quicker than they do at present.

Don’t take any of this personally, I have no problem with moderators.

PS I suggest you lock this thread now because its not going anywhere useful.

You missed the whole point, You found a bug? report it as you must have done now. Why go for literal meaning of each and every word said? It was generalized comment from my side and not at all intentional for you.

Also, why judge the other fellow members in offending language, its not going to help any of us. We all are here for good reasons.

    Closing this thread now….

    regards
