Just thought I’d warn people not to upgrade to Joomla 1.5.5 if you are using Teline 2. I’ve tried but have run into a number of problems. Seems to be an issue with Ja News 3.1 and Category/section links with SEF URLS.

Has anyone got it up and running without problems?! Please tell me I’m wrong 😉

    Thanks

    Hi John,

Just like Hainn, I responded to your other post. It does work, but of course, in my case, I used the Joomla 1.5.3-Teline II v1.4 QuickStart kit, that was then upgraded a few days ago to Joomla 1.5.4 and today upgraded to Joomla 1.5.5

Plus, I made the corrections as outlined in:

Live site is empty — causes the 404 Error

For a proof that the Joomla 1.5.5 upgrade works, click this: Demo page

    Hi,

I’am using 1.5.5 with Teline II without any problems… (including Ja-News and JA-Frontpage). Maybe it’s a SEF-problem, I’ve had problems with that before. Now I’m using SmartSEF and everything works fine.

Other than a design problem on my part, I don’t believe I’ve come into any problems with JA Teline II and Joomla 1.5.5 that would cause me to wish I never upgraded. In fact, Joomla 1.5.5 fixed problems that Joomla itself had, not a problem/conflict I’ve had with Teline II.
