maybe try again ? 8 hrs agao I couldn’t access ja at all kept getting a 502 error so did a collegue in Thailand so guess the site crashed

The Quickstart refuses to install the main sample db no matter what, running WAMP with php V 5.43 – Apache V2.42, MySql 5.5.24
I have tried it with lower versions of all items still no luck, it will install the blog only db option so I believe there are major problems with the main db/installer

Hi there,

Is there any error appeared when you click install sample data? If you use Firebug > check console tab and let me know if any errors persist.

Hi no error messages appear; the installer just displays the spinning wheel and goes forever then after about 15 mins times out without an error message and then returns to the main screen where you select to install sample data again.

This is ridiculous, I have redownloaded the qs again several times, none work. I have changed php and sql combinations to earlier versions no luck same response.

I guess I’ll have to wait till the stable version thathas hopefully been fully tested, comes out,
when will that be?

Many thanks for your offer to help, but I think we may have a communication problem. I have tried to install locally and failed and will not install a problematic Beta version to a live host, so I cannot give you details as I have NO installation available . . . it wont install!!!

This is really a pain in the ass, releasing a beta is one thing but one that has db and installation problems is another. I can’t even have a play with the Beta while waiting for the overdue? stable to appear.

Bad for business JA, perhaps you should ensure Club members are catered for before the JAT3 V3 work takes most of your staff & time it seems?
