I believe that you need to be a member to download the template.

I am not on staff, But I have seen this question before and that was the answer

as for setting an example, I have helped many people here, even going to the extent of installing templates, joomla, and personally going in and fixing peoples websites for them. And in return. I get crap from people like you that didn’t like the correct answer.

The point was and still is, be very sure of the facts before you snub a person.

I admit my first answer was too short, I appologize for that.

the link above does not work either, it is old and redirects to joomlashop. The MODS should check into that.

when I answered the question before it was because of another thread that someone else had posted the answer of it being for members only. I will try to find that.

my issue with that one template was finally resolved to my satisfaction, I should have gone back and posted that.. After that the mods have made a tremendous effort to be more responsive and I have posted in other threads that they have made a remarkable improvement. For the most part, questions get answered now. That was at the height of their unresponsiveness.

Purity is not on the list of free or paid templates

so, MODERATORS, what is the answer, is purity template free and available for download.
I tried all of the links given and none worked unless I was logged in..

also, the purity demo was hacked, so it is possible that is the issue.

If it turns out I am wrong, I appologize for the misinformation. That will put me about 479 to 2, not bad odds

so…the final answer is that purity is not available for download, it is included with a joomla itself as a default template

so…you get it when you install joomla.

That response really begs the question. First of all if you look at the top of this page under “Notices” you will see a link to download JA Purity for 1.0.13 and one for the Joomla 1.5 series. If you click on the link for the 1.0.13 template you will be redirected to “what claims to be “shop.joomla.org”. Definitely not the download link but perhaps related to the previous hack of the demo page. But, how can you be absolutely positive that it is not a phishing site? You will also find that the download link for the 1.5 series has also been redirected. In any event, I seriously doubt that these are the links intended by JoomlArt.

Secondly, as the winner of the template contest, a newly revised 1.5 version is now included in Joomla 1.5.6. The version for the Joomla 1.0 series is not.

And finally as an entry in the Joomla Template Contest, JA Purity template is distributed under the GPL, and is indeed free software. JoomlArt has distributed both templates from links in this forum, rather than their download site, from the time of the contest until quite recently. Since the links, as mentioned in my initial posting, are still posted I am assuming that JoomlArt intends to continue distribution from this forum.

the redirects may very well be because of the hack, JA has not responded to attempts for clarification
