The left sidebar is a module position. You can put some module here.
And as in demo. You have to create a menu, then create a menu module and place to ‘sidebar’ position.
Please take a look on quickstart package. I will provide the step by step to create SOCIAL FEED module is below.
1. Create a new Menu named ‘Social Feed’
2. For each subcategories in the parent category, create a menu item and point to it. Remember, the new menu item should have the parent is ‘Social Feed’ Menu
3. Create a Menu type module by go to Module Manager
4. Select Social Feed Menu in new module
5. Select ‘sidebar’ position as module position.
Save clear cache and try again.
