February 27, 2012 at 8:28 pm #174370Hi there,
I am trying to build a template over the Purity II design. I managed to customize the Mega Menu and CSS menu but now I’m stucked with the Dropline Menu.
I would like to make the level1 block (ja-subnav) to have the same width like the header block (as wide as the screen, not 980px).
Also I would like to have a fixed position for it because currently it is over other blocks (user1,2,3,4,5).
Here is how it is and how I want it. It should be something with the “ja-subnav” from “dropline.css” but I cannot figure it out:How it is: http://sitnyakovo.com/TEST/
How I want it: http://themeforest.net/item/sasu-black-premium-joomla-template/full_screen_preview/1259393Basically, I need to decrease the height and put it between the header and the user1,2,3,4,5 positions.
Thank you in advance for your help 🙂himangi Friendhimangi

February 28, 2012 at 8:59 am #440557Have you tried using CSS menu style rather than dropline?

February 28, 2012 at 10:14 am #440570Hi there,
Thanks for the reply. I successfully edited/changed the Mega Menu and the CSS Menu but I need to change all menus so they can fit the new design. I’m not doing this template for me. I’m now learning how to create templates and my plans are to offer them to other people (I know there is much to be learned) so I need to make it professional – it means that I need to change all menus so they can fit the new design.
Please give me some tips on this. I’m almost sure that I need to edit the “ja-subnav” from “dropline.css”. I tried different things but cannot make the block under the menu in full screen as it is in this template:http://themeforest.net/item/sasu-bla…review/1259393
I also cannot make this block with a fixed position as it is in the above template.
Your help is much appreciated.himangi Friendhimangi

February 28, 2012 at 10:24 am #440573You need to make changes in mega.css or css.css files in css/menus folder, depending on the menu style you are using. From the template manager > JA Purity, set NO to compression options for css. Then using Inspect element feature in chrome broswer, you can see where you need to change styling..

February 28, 2012 at 10:32 am #440574Hi there,
I really need some tips here. Some step-by-step instructions and some CSS examples as Khoand advised me before in another post:
http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/block-inside-another-block/
Believe me, I tried make CSS options in the dropline.css file (the mega.css and css.css are already done) but cannot figure it out.
I am using “FireBug” with Firefox and have spent 2 days reviewing the other template ( http://themeforest.net/item/sasu-black-premium-joomla-template/full_screen_preview/1259393 ) and editing the dropline.css but nope 🙁Please give me some instructions how to make the block (ja-subnav from dropline.css) as wide as the whole screen (like the header is) and then make it with a fixed position between the “header” block and the “user1,2,3,4,5” positions. Absolutely the same as it is in this template:
