Hi 🙂
I have an Invision forum and a Joomla website that I would like to make a little more integrated.
I use the Sanidine II template on a Joomla 1.5 install.
I would like to be able to pull the header of the Sanidine design (to just below the menu, either a CSS dropdown, mootools, or even the Dropline) and have that above my Invision forum.
The Invision forum is irrelevant, essentially I’m trying to replicate the header on a html page in a subdirectory of the root Joomla install
Now, I know I will have to manually update the links on the forum if I make any changes to the menu layout, but I’m happy to do that, I just haven’t got a clue where to start
Just hoping that there’s a way of doing this, due to the way my community runs. Its 90% forum and 10% website based, hoping that if the site is more accessible (i.e integrated with the forum) it will bring that up to at least 60/40, especially with such an awesome design that I’ve just purchased today 😀
Help on this would be gratefully received.

March 24, 2009 at 10:47 pm #297762Hi davotek
For some reason, I’m having a bit of trouble imagining this! If you could provide us with a screen shot of what you would like done exactly, then that would be of great help.
A live site link would not go a miss either!
Thanks

Right, here is my site, ignore the template as I ain’t using that, its just so you get the idea.

The header part with the menu, I want to copy the code for it to be above the forum, complete with dropdowns, which you can hopefully make out from the attachment.
Again, I’ll be using the Sanidine II template with the CSS dropdown variation.
Think that should explain it a bit better with my quickly lashed together paint job, lol
If you need me to explain more, just say 😀

March 25, 2009 at 3:40 pm #297972Ok I must either be REALLY slow today or just plain dumb.
Try sticking on the Sanidine II template, and do a before and after screenshot of the change you need!
Sorry, but I’m just really confused! lol
Thanks.

Ok, take a look at this;
http://xbln.net/forums/index.php
I’ve essentially copied the entire code from the template above the “<!–END HEADER–>” comment.
Seems to work ok, in Firefox etc. But Internet Explorer, the drop down works, but it won’t go back up after you remove the mouse.
If I can solve that and half the errors the page throws up, all good, but at the moment, not got a clue.
