    Hallo,
every day I find in GWT 20-40 new strange URLs. Fortunately, I have blocked the indexing with robots.txt – but I wuold like to solve this problem once and forever.
All these urls contain in a part the write “2-non-categorizzato“. Here two examples:

    www . campiglio.tn.it/ospitalita/ristoranti/pizzerie/2-non-categorizzato/28-leggende
    www . campiglio.tn.it/2-non-categorizzato/32-fiaccolata-dei-record

Do you have any idea on why these urls are generated every day? Is it a problem of the template? What could I do to solve this problem?

    Thank you!
    Paolo

    Hi 01920

Did you test in original joomla template? I think it isn’t bug of template. It related to SEO features/modules rather than template.

    hi paolo

i believe you have linked to “content”. i discovered this behavior as well on our own site. what I did to prevent this to happen: If I do any linking from a content-page – i just choose a link (in the hyperlink-dialog-field) from the menu-section and not from the content-section. You will find all links for your content in the content-section, listed by section/category! I just stick to the links listet in the menu-section because these links are for sure published/integrated in your site…

    kind regards

first of all thank you! (I have wonderful memories of Neuschwainstein…)

the new strange urls are composed of two parts:
the first, with the address of a menu item, for example:
    http://www.campiglio.tn.it/storia/pubblicazioni/in-biblioteca

and the second with the incomprehensible (for me)
2-non-categorizzato/27-miti (number “27” is the ID of the article “miti”)

    the result is
    http://www.campiglio.tn.it/storia/pubblicazioni/in-biblioteca/2-non-categorizzato/27-miti

this happens dozen of times, every day. It’s as if menus and articles connect in a strange way…
    A couple of questions:
1- what do you mean with “content page”? An article?
2 – do you think that I’m doing wrong with the menu voices?

    thank you again!
    Paolo

    Hi Paolo

Could you provide me screenshot indicating where your problem occurs? I can’t find it in your site.

    paolo,

i am using joomla version 1.5 and my editor is jce 1.5.6 – all my answers are based on it!
which joomla version you are using? and which editor?

    – you are right an article is content! It happenes for example when you are in an article of category “C” and you link from there to an article from category “B” – this might be a bug from my editior…
    – and what do you mean by “menu voice”? do you mean link-txt?

the problem is not due to links between articles; I think these new odd urls are independent of this. They are a mix between menu voices and articles, with this “2-non-categorizzato” instruction that is (for me) incomprehensible…

    Hi 01920

I don’t understand language in your site, so could you show me where “menu voice” is? And you said “menu voice”, this means that you used JA Voice component or not?

    hi again

maybe we go now in a different direction – something i forgot to say:
keep in mind that in webmastertools all found url´s are listed.

what i want to say is:
if you have urls listed, and you turn on (while the old urls are listed) the “seo options” in the joomla configuration tab; you will have both listed in webmastertools until google recognizes that the old urls don´t exist anymore!!!! please monitor this

    kind regards william

Certainly, I mean bad. With “menu voice” i mean a url that matches the address of a menu item.
    Here a screenshot in english…

@virtual24: Thanks for your interesting information.

@01920: I don’t think it is a problem of the template. There is a link in your attached screenshot that isn’t friendly link (latest line). As virtual24 said, it maybe related to google webtools.

You should search in the internet to know more. I saw a lot of questions, articles related this problem in the internet as:
