Hi,
is there a way to make the template be dynamic ?
I mean, instead of having a fixed width, to be dynamic depending on the users browser.I just think that would make it a bit more professional.
Any ideas or suggestions are welcome.
Thanks

June 1, 2007 at 6:51 am #221295Open your index.php and on line 24 change
$ja_width_default = 'wide'; // 'narrow': 800x600; 'wide': 1024x768; 'auto': fluid width
to
$ja_width_default = 'auto'; // 'narrow': 800x600; 'wide': 1024x768; 'auto': fluid width
June 1, 2007 at 1:16 pm #221329Hi, thanks for your reply.
I’ve tried that before as well and it doesnt really work. I’ve left the site on the ‘auto’ setting so have a look if you want.
It displays some things in ‘wide’ format and some in ‘narrow’ format but it doesnt follow the width of the browser what ever you do.
For instance, the logo at the top is ‘wide’ hence it can be seen on the right extending beyond the rest of the page and the rest of the page is generally in the ‘narrow’ form.
Am I missing something ?

June 1, 2007 at 7:21 pm #221344Hi
That really is a mess, but it is beyond my experience. I wish I could help you but I cant. If you don’t get an answer from one of the smarter ones here in a day or two, you can try to PM one of the admins. I am sure they will be able to help. Sorry.June 1, 2007 at 9:37 pm #221346Thats ok. I appreciate your help anyway.
We’ll get to the bottom of this eventually !Thanks for taking the time to help
Take care

January 22, 2008 at 2:52 am #236889I would like to make this feature work as well. I have experimented with it using some of the other JA templates and I really like it. But when I change the wide and narrow dimensions, the top graphic does not fit. I would be tempted to place something there that could scale in order to try out this feature. For instance, I have noticed that this JA user http://www.htmanagedservices.com/ has placed a flash logo in the header. Perhaps something like that could be made to autoresize with the template. Just thinking out loud.
