    HI There

We are having issues with adding users in the backend. It saays the user was saved succesfully but I can’t see any of the users besides the super admin in the backend.

Then on the front-end when i try login as a user i have created i get this error E_NOLOGIN_ACCESS

I am no developer so have no clue how to go edit user tables etc. but I even downloaded the quickstart template and created a whole refresh site and tested adding a new ueser in backed and we have the same issue.

Please can someone help. this is so urgent. Site needs to be live by the weekend.

    Thanks so much

    Hello,

Can you please let me know how you are trying to add the users ? It looks like you have added a user in K2 but in the frontend of your website you provide a link to Joomla login module.

In order to give permission to the users to login (while you add them manually in the backend ) you have to create the user in Joomla users manager.

Please let me know if that helps

    HI

    Thanks for your reply.

I am adding users using the normal joomla backend so I am click > site> usermanager> then new

    see attached image.

It allows me to add a new user and says it is saved successfully but then i can’t see any users. and when I login on the front-end with the joomla login module it gives the E_NOLOGIN_ACCESS error?

So I am adding them in the normal joomla usermanger….

I still can’t see how this problem can be fixed 🙁

    Thanks

    Hi,

It looks like there is a problem in your database, please update your joomla installation to the latest version and check if that solves your issue.

    Hi,

Can you please give me access to this new installation since the thread info has the old one still.

    Hi there

I deleted the installation and reinstalled the ja erio quickstart and installed sample data so I could simply change menu names and article names with all my new info. So far all seems to be working fine. A long way around to fix the issue but I am hoping this all works fine now. I checked usermanager and all seems in order so far.

I think also when I first installed joomal 2.5 erio template in the installation I clicked the database to still be mysql instead of mysqli ? I don’t know what the difference is or which one it should be? Could this have caused the problem with the menu nodes?

Well I am going to carry on adding all my info in and if I come across problems I will be sure to contact you 🙂

Thanks for responding so quickly and efficiently.

You have been a great help!

MySQLli is and optimized version of MySQL but your host must support this also!
