How hard would it be to add a text field and “go” button to the search field in user4
looks like
I want

Will be happy to pay anyone to do this, or instructions how to do it.

Try editing template.css (line 1099) as follows.

#ja-search .inputbox {

background:#FFFFFF none repeat scroll 0 0;
border:medium none;
color:#000000;
font-weight:bold;
line-height:14px;
margin-left:30px;
margin-top:9px;
width:130px;

}

I’ve not tried it but it should give you a white search box in the right position with black text.

The problem with JA Templates is they always did not implement the “Go Button” there, any search field misses the go button and the only way I did, was to get rid of it and placing a new module on some new module position one that has a nice go button implemented.
