I’ve just started using Joomla 1.5 how do you change the menu type?

The tutorial shows how to do it, just not in 1.5

The ja_vars file isnt the same as the one used in the tutorial.

I am having this same problem on my joomla 1.5, the ja_vars.php contains different codes. Anyone here, please help.

I figured it out but now can’t remember exactly what I did…

I would start by editing the “templatedetails.xml” file and look for this line:

<param name=”ja_menu” type=”list” default=”1″ label=”Menu Module” description=”Menu display module”>

Try changing the default to 2 for css or 4 for Moo.

If that doesn’t work I would be looking to change the default setting of JA_TOOL_MENU, but I’m not sure exactly where that is.

Either way hope this helps or somone else can give you a better answer.

The way you do this is by modifying the selections in the params.ini file.
