February 10, 2012 at 10:29 pm #437880If you’re not fussed about swapping virtuemart for something else Tiris comes with JoomShopping and looks great. JS works with music downloads and there should be an updated version of the template due shortly to take account of both J2.5 and an upgrade to JS.
If you want to stay with virtuemart, I don’t know how much customisation you’d have to do but I’ve always thought Methys would make a great shop. And it’s just been updated (today!) to J2.5.

v3.4.2 is J25 compatable so I don’t see why not.

If you need help with their German just shout. Don’t worry though, JoomShopping itself comes in English! 😀

Personal requests I’ll repsond to! 🙂
Let’s do it by their pictures?
1- Tab “Datein” (means files in englisch) Is when you are in a product in JS. (Component/Joomshopping/Product) yoursite.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_jshopping&controller=products&category_id=0
You click on “Files” and there you can load up a demo file (demo Datei) i.e. so that someone can listen to it and think Yep I’ll buy the whole track and the other is the “file for sale” that you actually want to sell (Datei zum Verkaufen)
2. This is to configure the site to allow media / music demo files. You can go to
yoursite.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_jshopping&controller=config&task=catprodIf you look at the “Product” part (3rd section down) you will see that the first option is “
Show demo file as “media”” . make sure you click or check this.3. Shows the buyer side and there is a little arrow by the “Demo Music” that means the client can play the demo file – the pop-up screen in the picture. The teaser! The demo file you loaded in number 1 above.
4. Shows his invoice after he has paid and a link to the download appears. He only gets this after you have the money!!
🙂
Hope that helps you

You are very welcome – I’m happy to have been of some small help. I look forward to seeing the finished site. 🙂
