March 29, 2009 at 2:15 am #139694Here’s my main website Old Photographic – The Online Vintage Photography Magazine
It’s more than an online magazine, but I needed a good tagline. 😉
I’ve spent many hours and $$$ on this site. Hope you like it. 🙂wooohanetworks Friendwooohanetworks

March 29, 2009 at 2:50 am #298791Site has 2 errors on the frontpage that may squeeze the opossum…don’t know if this is only in Google Chrome 2.0?
The header, I don’t know, somehow mirrors on the right site.
And something blue is inside the green here…
Just see that it’s the add to cart button.
Hope it helps to get some errors resolved!

March 29, 2009 at 3:43 am #298793Hi instantinlaw
Nice site and some great content!
I see the same problem as Wooohan with the ‘add to cart’ hidden behind the title. I also got the duplicated logo in Firefox, but not in Safari.
Also something odd with the search box here:
That happened in Firefox and Safari.
Hope you can fix these small problems as it’s a great site.
Chris

March 29, 2009 at 3:50 am #298795I’ve checked the site in IE 6 & 7 and the newest FF, but not in chrome. I’ll have to do a browsershots on the site.
I know what’s causing the add to cart problem, but It may be hard to track down that duplicate logo graphic though.
questbg, what version of FF are you using?
Thanks guys! 🙂questbg Friendquestbg

March 29, 2009 at 5:12 am #298799Hi checked the site, no duplicate logo here, but the login module on top right isnt aligned to the right top, its more towards the left side touching the two ladies in your logo. Site is great, is this is the same you were talking about in other thread related to SEO or organic google search? Exploring it now.

March 29, 2009 at 5:29 am #298803Actually I never saw such logo duplication anywhere anyhow before…
This is how the site looks now in my FF3 latest version, just freshly updated:
BTW, when have you updated the site the last time, is it still running on 1.5.8 or earlier versions? When I hit the login button without adding anything to the fields, I get an “Invalid Token” message on the next loaded page. As far as I know, was this already resolved with the previous version 1.5.9. I would stongly recommend not to go online with this site already and get all the errors sorted first or you may loose clients due to those errors, you know what I talk about.

Hi Yes it’s the same site as the seo thread.
I’ve been working on the login problem. Check it now it might be better.

Should be displaying correctly now in all browsers except chrome.
I have no idea why, but the login form gets screwey on initial page load then upon page refresh it straightens out. Refresh the page a few times and it plays games with the layout. A chrome bug? Who knows, but I’m not really gouing to worry about it for the time being as chrome only holds 4% of the browser market right now.instantinlaw Friendinstantinlaw

I keep the very latest version of everything installed. I suspect that the problems have to do with that module which was part of the quickstart package which I initially installed when this site was oldphotoshop. I used Joomlapak to move the site to the new server and the old module came along with it. Anyway I am probably going to do away with it anyway as although I have the sign up button going to the VM registration form, it was a hack of the module to get it that way and the site is a vm site anyway.

Hi Chris,
I actually got the duplicate logo in Safari, but it’s fixed now. The problem with the search bar is that in Safari only the navigation, and in fact all the text on the page is bolder than FF, IE, and Chrome. Unfortunatly I am not that advanced to write css just for chrome like you can do for IE if you can even do that. I guess I’ll have to do a work around for the search bar.
Thanks for your comments and help.Arvind Chauhan ModeratorArvind Chauhan

March 29, 2009 at 6:42 am #298817Checked it again, the login module seems settled in its place. Hope you dont mind my suggesting to align the bottom at par with left and right columns……
As i said its a great site and so is the partner site http://collectiblesvault.com/.

Hi darvindc,
Yeah it took some work hacking the index.php and template css files to get it to play nice.Although I did hack the index.php for the breadcrumb trail and some other stuff, I did not do anything to the code for the login module so I suspect unless JA fixed the problem for new downloads of this template, that other sites may be experiemncing the same problem.
I thank everyone here for pointing those problems out to me so I could fix them.
I’m not sure what you mean by “align the bottom at par with left and right columns” The login module aligns to the right in both IE & FF. Please explain…
BTW Collectiblesvault is another of my sites. I made it over the corse of 3 days. Thanks!

What i meant by aligning the bottom, was related to the height alignment of the left, right column with that of the body. Right now left and right columns ends far higher than the body.
