I’ve been working with Edenite template on a new site. I deleted all of the menu items that came by default in the Resources menu and was to replace them with my own items. Now, when I add my new menu items, Save and Close, the list is empty. Then I come to find that all of my new items that were supposed to be saveed to Resources have been, instead, saved to Main Menu. I’ve tried and retried to make this work; same result.

Do you have any idea how/why this is happening? More importantly, how to fix it (short of reinstalling the template).

    Thanks!

    Greetings Rob:

Might you be able to provide the url to your site, as well as temporary access to your site administration, so that we might take a look within your Menu Manager to see if we can spot the issue?

If you do not feel comfortable posting the site admin access info on the Forum, you can send it in a PM

Tom, thank you for your quick response.

Weirdly, this problem solved itself. I logged out of the site and had to be away from the machine for an hour or so. When I came back and logged in, I went straight to Menus to see if I could recreate the problem and I could not. For whatever reason, I am now able to create menu items in any menu and they are saved to the correct place. I’m thankful for that. But, still a little curious about what caused the problem in the first place, and why short, passive, inactivity would solve the problem.

Thanks again (appropriate Thanks button clicked).

Often times, these issues are related to refreshing one’s browser and/or clearing both the browser and JAT3 cache.

And let’s face it . . . sometimes some things just need a good swift kick in the pants. 😎

VERY HAPPY to hear that the issue resolved itself for you.
