    Hello,

My graphic designer doesn’t understand Joomla, and is insisting I use a module, much like the one i custom designed that lives in the Module 1 position.

Please see here for the original custom user1:
    http://s373731452.onlinehome.us/

Then see here for the second custom user 1 module:
    http://s373731452.onlinehome.us/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=50&Itemid=53

My question is, that everything looks great, but I would like to get rid of the shadow images at the top left and right. Could I do that directly within the html I did for that module?

Here’s the code for the existing second custom module in User 1 position:

<div style="float: left; width: 48.5%; height: 190px; padding: 8px; background-color: #6a81a0;"><span style="color: #ffffff; font-size: 11pt;"><strong><span style="font-family: helvetica;">100% QUALITY BUILT YURTS MADE BY REAL NICE PEOPLE.</span></strong></span><br /><strong>We love what we do at White Mountain Yurts and we think it shows.</strong> Each of our Yurts is hand-crafted with you in mind. <div style="float: right; width: 48%; height: 190px; padding: 8px; background-color: #6a81a0;">
<p><img style="float: right;" alt="handcrafted" src="images/stories/handcrafted.jpg" height="175" width="217" />But, to truly experience a White Mountain Yurt, please visit our Gallery or call anytime and find out where to stay in a White Mountain Yurt or visit our Yurt Welcome Center!</p>

    <p><strong><br /></strong></p>
    </div>

Please excuse my sloppy html – I am a novice!

    Thanks,
    Will

First of all …. NICE JOB !!!! . . . Your site looks FANTASTIC.

Secondly . . . if I may offer some constructive comment …. I actually really LIKE the shadow effect (especially the way it is utilized with the first linked example). I think it gives that particular element that “little extra” stand out effect that works REALLY NICE with your overall theme.

Just my two cents worth – as a disinterested web viewer seeing your site for the first time.

    OK Tom, THANK YOU!

So take a peek at the screen grab I’m attaching. Yes, the shadow looks great on the home page because it has a dark object above it (the slideshow) but on the other pages without the slideshow, it give a hard edge instead of smooth gradient.

Likewise, I did try moving the module to position user4 but I lost the nice styling I worked on so hard to get the two outlines around the box…:((

Hopefully someone else see my plea for help.

    Best,
    Will
