new to ALL of this. i’ve installed joomla and my template. created sections, categories, and content. can’t insert/edit link, insert/edit image, edit html source — and more. for example, when i click on insert/edit link, i get an empty box that says “Done” in the bottom left and my site address “http://www.trepsed.com, {$lang_insert_link_title} Mozilla Firefox” on the top. need to launch my site this friday! please help!

The best way is not using the built-in HTML editor. I normally use my own html editor application (dreamwaver) then copy and paste the codes into the plain text editor of Joomla.

I’ve had the same problem. It’s a known bug. You need to, when you use the administration interface, to use the website address without the www. So if your site’s URL is http://www.mysite.com, then login with http://mysite.com/administrator

This applies if you have not specified something else as your live site in configuration.php

Hi all,
I have had the same problem and cannot find a way around it.

When I try to insert/edit a link via the editor – the link will not work. When I have updated the url I get the following – #mce_temp_url# in the address box.

When I go back to check the link the #mce_temp_url# is present in the link URL box.

I cannot link to any url inside or external to my site

Anyone know a way round it.
