July 23, 2014 at 2:05 am #543161Hi there,
We don’t provide support for K2, as this in a third party, non-JoomlArt, extension but I do hope you’ll find some nice posts over the internet answering your question, like, for example, following:
<blockquote>
You need to assign users to group then allow that group editing permissions in K2 categories.
1. Check K2 Front End Editing is enabled.
Go to joomla admin > component > Select K2
Look on your right and click on “Parameters”
Click on Front Editing Tab
Enable Front Editing. This is a global setting.2. Add Users to K2 Groups.
Go to K2 > Users and make sure they are assigned to your required K2 Group. In this example I will use ” Reporters Group”.
So I click on user “Reporter1” and assign to “Reporters” group. If you haven’t got your groups set go to step 3 then comeback to this step 2 again to assign your users to groups.3. K2 Groups.
By default K2 has registered and Site owner groups. Depending on your site you might want to create more groups.
So simply create your groups and check settings. On top you have permission settings , below that you have K2 categories where this group will have permissions.
So i create “Reporters” group and allow permissions to K2 News category. Now when a user logs in they will be able to edit K2 articles for their assigned categories.
You might need to create and use K2 Login module which has extra links to create or add new articles.Resource: http://www.gavick.com/forums/music/how-to-enable-k2-frontend-editing-16948.html

You may also find “How to enable front-end editing for K2 items” tutorial useful.
In general, after googling up, the next place to look for answers to your furture questions on K2 would be K2 community at K2 developer’s web-site.
Hope this helps,
Regards,
Alex

July 25, 2014 at 6:39 am #543424Hi there,
<blockquote>
Allowing users to submit contentScenario
You want to allow any new registration to be given the ability to create and edit content but only in a specific category or categories.
Process
Create a K2 category such as “User Blog”
Create a K2 User Group such as RegUsers (or whatever you want to call it)
Set permissions as follows:
Post comments: Yes
Front-end item editing: Yes
Add items: Yes
Edit own items: Yes
Edit any item: I would suggest no
Publish items: Your choice, but consider that you may want to check content before publishing
Under Assign group permissions to these categories select the User Blog category only.
If your going to create sub categories in User Blog, then enable Automatically assign group permissions to the children of selected categories.
FunctionAny new registration created will now be added to the user group you created. They will have full read access to all parts of the site available to registered users.
Only within the selected categories will the registered users have the extra permissions set in that user group.Test It
Create a “test” user from within the admin panel and move them to that user group.
TIP: By using a test user, you then can run these types of tests, or create system content and it will then NOT affect your main admin user account.
Consider this, you create test content or system content using your admin account and those items will appear in your latest items and blog which you may not want to have displayed.Login to the front end of your site, and click the “add item” from the K2 login module.
In the modal window, check the categories drop down and you will see that you can only select those that were set in the User group.Already got registered members?
If you already have a lot of registered k2 users, then you can move them.
Go to the K2 User screen.
Filter the list to display just Registered, using the drop downs at the top right of the screen.
Click the select all check box, top of all the check boxes on the left side.
Click on the Move icon.
In the next window, select which category you wish to move them to and then click Save.Thats it job complete
