    ar2solutions,

Since you have a Developer license, you are allowed to remove the Designed by JoomlArt.com., one of the reasons why I have a Developer license plus unlimited domain use.

Yes, it gets tricky finding it. There are a number of posts already sharing how to do it. Also, I think for Developers Joomlart provides instructions on how to change the footer. You should ask for it.

In my case, I just go to the index.php (in the template), and hack the entire footer script there.

For Teline II, check the link given in the first post in this thread:

Current and Start Date in Footer for Joomla1.5x-Teline II
    http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/current-and-start-date-in-footer-for-joomla1-5x-teline-ii/

The entire thread itself is about a more sophisticated way of including start and current year in the copyright date.

It should be similar procedure in the template you use.

    ar2solutions,

The other link that I was referring to (included as inpage in the link given above) was this:

    Where is the footer?
    http://www.joomlart.com/forums/showthread.php?p=65405

It provides files and scripts and the convoluted way to get to and write the simple statement:

    “Designed by …….”

If you have some basic php scripting, based on the scripts provided by Hainn (see both links), you may be able to simplify the overall scripts itself to write a very simple one for

    “Designed by …….”

    or

    “Copyright by ….”

The latter is my preference because the designs are by many parties.

    thanks Cornelio for the post,

actually, the footer html code was listed under the template folder. I kept looking it in the mod_footer folder.

    The website is complete, its http://www.cairseattle.org if you wanna check it out;

    Ar2Solutions,

Yes, I forgot. That is another directory where they keep it too, in some templates. I wish Joomlart is more consistent with where they keep scripts across templates.

I visited your site. You will notice thaat if you go from one article or another, the site name disappears. There is a plugin called website_name_may2008 that you may install, so that your site name will appear at the top of the browser plus the actual name of the article or directory where you are.

    -AR2Solutions,

Did you find it? I had to Google it does not show as the first extension when I searched the Joomla extension site, just before I responded.

It used to be “hardwirred” script in Joomla 1.0.x. I do not know why they did not do the same for Joomla 1.5.x

I got that idea from an old post I asked before.so I am sharing it with others.

    ar2solutions,

I found the linkk after I Google. Another area that you may consider is the access of people to your site.

The default registration – login of Joomla is very rudimentary. They may improve it when Joomla 1.6x comes. In the meantime, you might want to consider installing Community Builder (CB). It allows approval of any registration which when combined with the captcha, in both registration and login, improves your ability to minimize access of spammers and malicious users.
