Have you tried to use Custom Banner Code?
Like:

Yes, the code is correct.
But when I tried to access the GIF image (http://www.vivaasiamagazine.com/images/banners/B473393_leaderboard.gif) I got 404 error message.
1. the URL is not correct – correct the URL
2. site’s configuration does not allow direct link to images from that folder -> try to access other image in the folder or place them in other folder.
