April 8, 2013 at 5:56 pm #186575I read this post:
http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/employer-cant-create-subscription/
I have the same error when an employer registers but unlike this person all my subscriptions have a price. Like this person my employers will be able to subscribe to a subscription after they have registered for a free lifetime account. Is this warning about the subscriptions that are setup in the “Subscriptions and Permissions>Subscriptions” area or some other subscription that I missed? Because if so I don’t know how to get around this because I am offering a free lifetime subscription.
I have the employer setup exactly like the job seeker but the job seeker is shown a selection which makes no sense since there is only one it should just go to the application. The employer goes straight to the application but with the error.
Found the answer to my problem (until it cause issue somewhere else), it is found in the System configuration. Turn off “Enable Buy Subscriptions” and the error goes away. Still does not solve why it is there when there are subscriptions but they are not going to see them until after they register for the free lifetime account.

April 10, 2013 at 9:34 am #489416Hi earthrat,
Please check permissions details of that employer. I guess the employer has none and you must assign permissions for that employer again.

June 4, 2013 at 2:14 am #494634I am back at this one and the idea that this is a permission issue is irrelevant since the user has not even registered yet. Where they are is at the menu item called “JA Job Board » Employers register layout” to sign up on the site. So of course they would not have any permission because they don’t yet exist in the system. So why when a site visitor goes to register on the site as an employer do they get an error before they even sign up?
I change the user from -1 lifetime to 1 month and setup a fee and the error goes away. Comparing this to the job seeker, when that link is clicked I get a page where they can choose a subscription (even though there is only the one free lifetime) and when they select it they go right to the registration page. I setup the employer registration identical to it and it throws this error.
Here is the link to the job seeker:
http://www.stem-staffing.com/job-seekers/new-job-seeker/job-seeker-registrationHere is the link to the employer:
http://www.stem-staffing.com/employers/new-employer/employer-registrationNotice the employer does not go to the subscription selection page like the job seeker. Although since there is only the one it seems redundant that they would not just be taken to the form as it is working for the employer only I would like that to do this action without the error.

June 7, 2013 at 8:34 am #495125Hi Earthrat,
I have just checked the default package of Employer Sub and the setting of Billing System and could see that the issue happens due to the setting conflict.
If you set ‘must pay’ for register Employer, you must create an default package for employer eubscription with the value which is larger than zero ( 0 ) , otherwise, you must set as free sign up for employer registration to get this issue fixed.
Hope it is clear and let me know if you need any further clarifications.
Regards
