June 30, 2011 at 12:34 am #165814I installed the Joomla 1.6 quickstart files for Teline IV and changed the category titles and the order of some of those categories. The idea was to begin with three bulletins so I disabled the others. After this I imported fresh content with Feedgator to be sure that all categories to be displayed have articles.
The new content is diplayed normally when accessed by menu but the renamed two bulletins remain empty. I think I used exactly the same configuration I found in the example categories and bulletins.

June 30, 2011 at 8:37 pm #399390I created another test site. This time I used exactly the existing category structure without any order changes. I only renamed the categories and the respective menu items, deleted the old articles and imported fresh ones by Feedgator. Then I clicked all possible caches The result is exactly the same: Only the demo articles are shown. When I click on one of the renamed catogories everything disappears and the bulletin is empty. Here the link:

June 30, 2011 at 9:19 pm #399393I’ve reviewed your site.
Clicked on EUROPA > POLITICA which I believe is an area you entered. All looks to be in order. I can find no empty bulletins.
Am I overlooking something? Can you provide a more specific example of your concerns?Thank you,

June 30, 2011 at 9:30 pm #399394Hi jbrett in Washington, DC
Please have a look at the attached image. I tried in two computers with IE and FF. Is this a local Brazilian problem?
Regards from Brazil

June 30, 2011 at 9:58 pm #399405Perhaps a useful additional information. I made the following test in 1-ASSUNTOS LOCAIS – RMS (former football)
I unpublished the three demo articles in Latin, created an FEATURED article called “Testartikel”, cleaned all caches and refreshed the frontpage. Result: another empty bulletin. Enabling the three old articles again the content is back.

June 30, 2011 at 10:23 pm #399413HEUREKA!
Hi jbrett,
my conclusion is that the articles must NOT be featured! I used to configure FEEDGATOR for imediate publishing and featuring, but now I notice that the demo articles are not featured! So I changed the parameter and the content is back!
Am I right??? Sorry for making a lot of trouble!

July 1, 2011 at 12:26 pm #399523Joomla 1.6 articles have a second attribute (FEATURED Yes/No) which substitutes the ‘Frontpage Yes/No’ option used in Joomla 1.5. Also used by K2.
