February 3, 2012 at 10:30 am #173496Hello there.
I’ve searched the forums about this issue, and, despite i have found some, they seem to be a little abandoned, so, lets hope this one will get a little bit of more attention.I have installed JAComments, currently on J2.5.1 but dont really matter wich version of Joomla to use, the results are the same.
On the Moderation panel in the backend, i can see the tabs listing the comments on site, but, when i click on them to moderate the comments, nothing happens.
Also, i have noticed that, although i have 8 comments on site, main recount on admin dasboard show me this:
I’m lost with this, could someone bring me some light? Please, i really need this to work.
Im having other problems with the component, but, i prefer to leave them to the end, until this is fixed.
Thanks

February 3, 2012 at 10:04 pm #436849Hi n6rej, glad to see you again.
Since im working on a dev local site, i cannot share a link with you “on the fly”, anyway, I think you will be able to replicate the problem on any J2.5 installation.
As you will see in this post i am not the only one with this issue, so , i suppose it’s not entirely my blame.
Anyway, if you still need access to the site, i could create a replicated live site somewhere.
Thanks for your attention, hope you will help us all.

February 5, 2012 at 5:24 pm #437028I really appreciate your effort, but unfortunately I think you are wrong, because I think the problem you have pointed to is not the one that we refer to.
I’ll Try to explain myself as clearly as possible. In the Administration panel on backend, there is a section named “Moderate”, in that section, there are four main tabs, and a fifth option that refers to flagged comments. In theory, if you click on these tabs, the component must load the comments that are supposed to appear by cathegories, in example, if you click on “All”, all the comments will be shown, if instead of this you click on Approved, all the approved comments must be shown.
The main issue of this is, that no matter where you click, nothing will be shown, if you have four comments approved and you click on “Approved” tab, nothing is gonna be shown, If you click on “All” tab, nothing will be shown despite you have published comments visibles on the web.
because of this, i think your posting to JIRA is wrong, or, does not suits with the problem we are posting here.
Hopy this will clarify; thanks again.

February 5, 2012 at 8:32 pm #437050I cant see your Jira post , system show an “insufficent permissions” message, also iv’e tried to post an issue by myself, and same message has been shown.
Anyway, i must insist, i think this is due some kind of JS nos loading propertly, because, the numbers on the tabs vary if i “filter” the messages, but it continues showing nothing.
In example. If i enter as is to the administration panel i’ll see the “All” tabs showing “All (8)” , and if i enter word filtering “as” I’ll see the tab “All” showing “All(4)” (Filtered with “as” string) But no messages are shown anyway.
In my poor opinion, this means there is some kind of error showing, but not getting the messages, or maybe im totally wrong…
