October 29, 2013 at 5:05 pm #191803I want to encapsulate all of my current site into a single table cell and want to add a column to the right – that would run
through the entire length of my site. like this:<table><tr>
<td>My entire current site</td>
<td>a new column that will have one or more of my modules. or simply some advertising items.</td>
</tr></table>how do I achieve this? This is rather urgent…. 🙁
Thank you

Hello Venkat,You can open this file: /plugins/system/jat3/jat3/base-themes/default/page/default.php, you will see the whole HTML structure there and custom as you wish.
Another way is that you can keep the current structure and add a new module position and add your own module there, here is tips: http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/how-to-create-a-new-module-position-6/
I’m not quite sure of adding all into table cell will loose style of template or not so please backup your site first before changing and do it at your own risk.

Additionally, you should override above file for the template:– Copy above file to folder: /templates/ja_nex/page (if you need to create this page folder if it doesn’t exist).
– Then make change to this file. This way will help to keep you custom work when you update JAT3 framework.
Regards

July 21, 2014 at 6:46 am #542961Hello Venkat,
There is no need to create two threads for the same issue. Please post kindly in this thread what you tried to post at your duplicate thread http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/how-to-encapsulate-current-template-into-a-table-cell/ and we’ll pick it up for you.
Regards,
Alex
