Hello

I have been using ja-nerine template on a web site with joomla 1.5. In addition I have installed SOBI-2 and using it in legacy mode. It is a site using Turkish language

I am getting discrepancies between what SOBI-2 requires and what Nerine template is needed, It seems UTF-8 is enforced to be used on the browser (I am using) via templates; however when I select ISO-8859-9 to correct character issues with SOBI I am getting corrupted characters with site template (especially menus), if I go back UTF-8 problems disappear with site template but SOBI character issues reappear. when ever I open new page I am seeing the encoding went back to UTF-8.

I wonder if anybody could put me in the right direction to resolve this issue. Deeply appreciate for any help.

PS: BTW I cannot see ja-nerine on the forum list with regard to templates and I have to search it to be able to post anything. I just wanted to share it.

If you haven’t done so already, it will be worth posting this on the SOBI2 forum as well as here. There might be other users who have had a similar issue. Also, the latest version of SOBI2 is 1.5 native I think and there’s been a few other fixes etc. so it might be worth upgrading.

Hello

Thank you both for replying however I thought joomla1.5 with some extensions will not work well yet so I reverted back to Joomla 1.0 for the web site I am working. I am working here http://www.cukurova-idek.org/tst.
