April 3, 2009 at 5:51 pm #139896Having trouble locating the language .ini file that will contain the text for Send To A Friend.
I’m specifically needing to change “enquiry” to “inquiry”…
Thanks!

April 3, 2009 at 6:42 pm #299888I haven’t downloaded Opal so I have no idea….
BUT….
I highly recommend (if you are a windows user) a little program called Windows Grep[/url]. It searches within files in folders/directories for text strings. It’s perfect for what you are doing, just type ‘Enquiry’ in the serch box and point it to your Joomla folder and it will tell you every file that word appears in. You can also replace the word with a new word without even haveing to open the file.

John.
Hi jbrett,
Can you provide link to the page where this “send to a friend” and “enquiry” is referred. I did solve one guy’s problem rgarding enquiry to inquiry. May be i can help. But can’t see the terms on Ja Opal. A link from demo site also will do.
regards

April 3, 2009 at 6:50 pm #299893Arvind!
Actually it’s not on a page…it’s part of the email that is sent when you “Send to a Friend”…or click the Email icon at the top of a story.
I’m sure it’s in a language .ini file…but I haven’t been able to find which .ini file.
John.

April 3, 2009 at 6:52 pm #299894Scotty,
Thanks for the tip…and I’ll try it and report back. Dreamweaver’s find and replace does the same, but it, for some reason, can’t read ini files.

April 3, 2009 at 6:59 pm #299896Not sure if this is what you looking for :
open /opal/language/en-GB >> en-GB.com_contact.ini and search for enquiry. It has many such fields.

EMAIL_A_COPY=E-mail a copy of this message to your own address.
ENQUIRY=Enquiry
ENQUIRY_TEXT=This is an enquiry e-mail via %s from:
Give it a try.

April 3, 2009 at 11:08 pm #299929You’re welcome.
Yep it’s a fantastic little program. I use it several times a day. It’s especially handy for changing colour schemes in CSS. Just search for your old colour and do a ‘Replace All’ with your new colour.
