Hi,

I used quickstart to install an instance of JA Edenite on the following website: http://www.davidbergman.com.

After loading up my content I found that using search dumps me to the following error text:

404 – Component not found
You may not be able to visit this page because of:

an out-of-date bookmark/favourite
a search engine that has an out-of-date listing for this site
a mistyped address
you have no access to this page
The requested resource was not found.
An error has occurred while processing your request.

Component not found

I checked and the search plugins are enabled. The component code is in the component and admin/component directories.

I am wondering if anyone has a suggestion on what to check to find out why the search component cannot be found.

Solved. This issue was due to an error in my .htaccess file and mod rewrite. 🙂
