    Hello,

we always have a 404 error when we select “category blog” for a menu item.
We tried a lot of thing to fix this, but impossible to fix this…. we really don’t understand what’s happening…

I have solved similar problem as follows :

+ Change htaccess.txt to .htaccess file in source code from FTP account of your hosting

+ Search Engine Friendly URLs and Use URL rewriting set YES in SEO settings

IF above does not help in your case, you can pm me URL of your site and admin login. I shall help you to check it

    Hello,

    thank for your help.
But nothing changes (all caches cleared).

I just PM you with the access code… (and see the “IT” menu in the main menu)

It’s very strange problem on your site.

When I created new category named (Test Category) and a new article(test article) for this category then assign to menu items: IT, NOW, both of them are working fine. Please have a look at this

However, when these 2 menu items (IT, NOW) were assigned with old categories on your site, the 404 error still appeared.

Like my testing on your site, please try to create new category and moves articles from old category (which has problem when being assigned to IT – NOW menu items) to this new category. Maybe it can help you to solve this issue

Oh now, I don’t want to do this with all articles… 🙁

This problem appears after a clean transfert (with SP Transfert) joomla 2.5 to joomla 3.2.

Ok, the solution is simply “Rebuild Categories” and “Rebuild Menus”

It is working very well now.

    Regard.

    Hello,

    I ask it again :

    I don’t understand why not.

I tried to do this but I could not find to select mark solved on this list. But I have moved this thread to solved box
