    Hi!
I am using JA Raite for my presentation. I had to change my hosting, so I made backup of joomla and SQL.
No, at new webhosting, I got Error 500. It is strange because I changed hosting many many times and this error never appeared.
I think that I missed some files during backup process, cause I am not able to enter neither administration.
What will happen if I reinstall joomla and will use “old SQL database”. Will I see my old articles???
I can not imagine to write all texts again…
    Thank you for your opinion!
    Petra

    Well petra,

If you have the DB intact, then all your articles are safe and most of your settings too. Make sure you get the images folder intact, coz thats where your images should be. If any of your component uses their own folders for storing files or images, make sure you secure them too.

You can freely overwrite the joomla files and even the templates file (you may lose the customization if any). but its safe.

Best of luck. Though its safe to overwrite your joomla and templates file, still make sure you have the backups…

    Regards
