    Hi
Joomla update is part of core Joomla, error 500 seems some issue from the server.
I found same issue reported as bug in Joomla Here
You can try the suggestion given on the above link.
Also, open a thread on Joomla forum to report this issue.

    Hi Pankaj,
Thank you but I found no solution at the linked Joomla thread.
I have more running JA installs with different templates on the same server without this problem.
All of them were installed via your quickstart package. :/

    Hi
it can be an issue from your server or Joomla. you can try manually update of Joomla.
And report this issue on Joomla forum, so they can look on this issue.

What do you mean on "manually"? It is managed via Installatron at the server (update can be manual or automatic). It might be done by Joomla backend manually but in this case Installatron losts the line and thinks it is updated. If we do that we cannot update anymore via Installatron… so I try to avoid this way of manual procedure.
