During Installation of component following errow Shows:

500 SQL=ALTER TABLE `twvu3_jacomment_items` ADD `latitude` CHAR(255) COLLATE utf8_general_ci NULL DEFAULT NULL AFTER `p0`

Installing on J3.02.

Ideas?

Hello Frank,

Because your web user does not have permission to alter table in database. Please request your hosting provider set the permission for your web user so that it can insert a new column into table in database.

Thanks for your Feedback Stork11,

can I try runing the command via phpmyadmin? If so, after I receive error message – is Ja comment then already installed?

I am just asking because I am sure that Hosting Provider (1&1 Germany) will/cannot/doesnt want make any changes on permissions.

Hello Frank,

You can try to run the alter sql command via phpmyadmin, then re-install JA Comment. Because if column exists in table, it won’t be inserted again into that table.

Well well well….

Ok. It is not working – however I guess it is due to fact that I previously hat KOMENTO installed. However I tried even a Installation on our WebMatrix local testsystem – no luck.

For this Project we well use komento (reinstallation was working fine).
If you want I can provide you with sitebackup – maybe devs want to check – if so send me PM.

The error is because it is missing rows “p0” in table “#_jacomment_items”.

It is fine now with component re-install.

Please check it again.

I did 3 times and drop ja comment tables but keep ending with same error on install every time.
