    Joomla 1.0 Slideshow

Ok I may have missed something simple – but don’t think I have.

I have created topsl module position uploaded 2 images sl-1.jpg sl-2.jpg images into a newly created slideshow directory which is inside the stories folder the module is directed to images/stories/slideshow

    images resized to 568 x 240

I have published the module and assigned it to the topsl position.

When I go to view it I get the dreaded Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage if I then unpublish it all is well again

    Ideas??

I am still running fagus while I am updating pages to the new website!!

When trying to view the page in Firefox Iget the following message:

    Content Encoding Error

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because it uses an invalid or unsupported form of compression.

Did some research on this and found that this might be some problems with gzip and stuff but I don’t see how gzip could be the problem only when slideshow is present.

Try turning off SEF to see if it helps?

I would rather be without slideshow than lose my SEF pages

I thought it may have been something to do with Fagus still been used while I was updating this site….but the fagus template has been deleted now…so I’m puzzled

    Any ideas guys?

I have found that if I put the wrong path to the images …./images/stories/slideshow

note the / before images the page opens and there is a gap where the images should be in topsl ….but an error message instead of an image…saying this folder doesn’t exist. That to me says it should be working

Been trying different paths but no joy!!
