    Hello,

When trying to install JA Rave 1.6 template, I already installed the standard Joomla Beez2 template. I installed JA Rave (incl. modules en plugins) using the backend of my site and it works fine, but since I don’t want to start from scratch I thought I’d install QuickStart (QS).

I tried installing the QS files with FileZilla while the site was up and running, but then I get right at the end of the installation proces when I type in my url. (it says: remove the installation folder)

Then I removed the whole site (all files) from the server to really start from scratch and then manually uploaded the QS files one by one on the server with FileZilla. Now I get this error:

    “Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, service@webmailer.de and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.”

Can anyone help me with this problem? I looked up what I think is all info on the site about installing JA Rave 1.6 already, but I can’t seem to solve this one myself. Please consider I’m not a computer wizzkid and just barely know about installing Joomla and making a decent site with it

    Thanks!
    Arckoo

Please check if “.htaccess” file is existed, then rename it to “htaccess.txt”

Hey… thanks for your reply. The htaccess file is there in the quickstart-package and I also uploaded it to my server, so that’s not it I’m afraid. But thanks again anyway.

Have you resolved this issue yet?

No… I’m afraid not. I’ve uninstalled all of the quickstart files, cleared my whole server and just uploaded joomla again. This weekend I will just start to built the whole thing from scratch again. Figuring out all the parameters might be a lot quicker than trying to figure out how to get QS to work.

Thanks for asking. Do you have any other suggestions? I sure could use the help.

    Hello,

Some times the Quickstart gives error . Its better to install the Joomla whatever version you need to use . Its always a better option to use the Joomal other than QuickStart.

Thanks for the tip @pritam That’s exactly what I’m doing now and like you say.. it works much better that way. What does come in handy are the instructions with the parameters which are being used for the demo-sites.

    Hello Arckoo,

Instructions with the parameters which are being used for the demo-sites ,they are for the sake of information that how you use the parameter for articles, components , modules and extensions which you will use. They provide various kind of parameters to use and see the changes which you made in the template.
