Hello There, I am using MAMP to install quickstart for joomla 1.5 JA Teline IV template, and when I get to the installation page to install sample data I get this error:

Error: the XML response that was returned from the server is invalid

Any ideas on what it could be? Thank you!!

This is a common issue for those running local Joomla instances. -> http://goo.gl/fbWeP
The solution depends on your setup, but most have success by:

1. Delete the configuration.php file
2. reupload the installation files
3. run the installation again.

If that doesn’t work for you – there is also a video that provides a manual solution, as well.
