Hi,
I tried to update JA Purity III from joomla 3.3 to 3.31, right after I installed it, but I’ve got an ERROR message:

An error has occurred.

1062 Duplicate entry ‘451’ for key ‘PRIMARY’ SQL=INSERT INTO `qcgi4_extensions` (`extension_id`, `name`, `type`, `element`, `folder`, `client_id`, `enabled`, `access`, `protected`, `manifest_cache`, `params`, `custom_data`, `system_data`, `checked_out`, `checked_out_time`, `ordering`, `state`) VALUES (451, ‘plg_search_tags’, ‘plugin’, ‘tags’, ‘search’, 0, 0, 1, 0, ”, ‘{“search_limit”:”50″,”show_tagged_items”:”1″}’, ”, ”, 0, ‘0000-00-00 00:00:00’, 0, 0);

Hi

Could you describe in details the steps you have done to update your website from Joomla 3.3 to Joomla 3.3.1 ?

This happent to me to my error log was this:

This is what I have done:
1. Log in to back-end obviously
2. Joomla shows there is update from 3.3.0 to 3.3.1
3.I purged cache
3. Clicked to update and then I got this error (write directly option selected)
4. Joomla shows version 3.3.1
5. After this I have done clean install using quickstart of purity III again and repeated process but this time using upgrade package for joomla 3.3.1 and result was the same error

In both cases joomla shows that it is upgraded to new version. Backend and frontend is working but I would like to know what is couse of this now before I put website online.

Also I need to mention that nothing was modified prior this error in template or joomla itself .

Hi

It is not well clear to me what happened exactly ( did you installed the quickstart on the same DB ? ) so i can suggest to take another test

1) Download again from Joomlart server the quickstart version
2) Create a completely new database
3) Extract the quickstart files on a new empty folder
4) Reinstall it using your new database

I have done that combo also forgot to mention it.

So in the end I installed clean joomla 3.3.1 and only the template. So no error 🙂

Hi..i found the solution.

1. Before updating your instance of Joomla you need to fix the database tables for the site. The database tool can be found under the extensions manager > database tab in your site’s admin.

2. You should see that there are errors in the database.

3. Click the fix button.

4. After the fix button has been clicked you should see a success message.

5. Now you can update your joomla version.

I have done one more install to try this and dominik_1 this did work! I am gonna check more often database tab in the future from now on.:)
