most likely activating htaccess. some servers takes up to 1 hour to update the directory access rights.

February 6, 2009 at 11:04 pm #289987Do you have the Apache rewrite enabled?
Have you more than one .htaccess file?
Can you post the text of your .htaccess here?

February 7, 2009 at 1:31 am #290000Okay teh odd thing is I set the “Use Apache mod_rewrite” to no and the SEO urls almost works.
Now I it only appends the main menu items, if if I browse to an article through the right menus it doesnt append the URLS… Any ideas on that one? I checked my servers and they say they I have apache activated mod-rewrite although I was unable to find it in the server info in the back end of Joomla admin.

February 7, 2009 at 1:53 am #290001I tried with it set to YES, I tried them all set to yes and every concievable configuration I could imagine.
But can only get rid of the error message by leaving teh .htaccess set in the site root and leaving Apache mod_rewrite set to No….. But this doesnt work with otehr sites I have done. what have I done wrong or has gone wrong? Im’ flummoxed! -
