i’m getting the following error on a new install on joomla 1.5.

it was working out of the box, then i disabled the module and re-enabled it, and am getting this now. i have 3 news/newsflash items and have selected that as my category.

also… i hacked line 3 and added …modules/mod_janewsflash/ja_newsflash… to the path which is where ja-newsflashloader.php is, but that created a different error…

the line
require_once( $mainframe->getPath( 'front_html', 'com_content') );
passes a null value which can not be found of course, and halts the loading of the whole page…

what should this line be?

this template may work in joomla 1.0 legacy mode, but the 2 modules definitely DO NOT (imho). paths don’t work, refers to require(‘globals.php’) which doesn’t exist in 1.5 and probably some other things…

see my site for an example… http://www.skyruncondos.com/skyrun. i worked 2 days on trying to hack the module code, but i think i have to give up. hate to try to rebuild the whole site on 1.0.13 but i guess that’s the only option? (i know. 1.5 is only a RC… but wanted to give others trying a heads up that the spotlight and newsflash modules don’t work on 1.5 so they won’t waste time).

or… can tell me how they made it work… has anyone got the modules working on 1.5RC3????

can anyone on the development team help? i’m 99% sure that while the template works (in legacy mode) that the 2 modules that come with this template DO NOT WORK on joomla 1.5RC3.

anyone get it working on 1.5RC3?

problems:
spotlight = no text displayed
newsflash = obviously bad paths to files and requires globals.php which isn’t in 1.5…

any plans to get these modules working in 1.5? or should i redo my site on 1.0.13.

You could use JA Newsflash module for Joomla 1.5 from Koniga template. The module in Rochea cannot work with 1.5 event legacy enabled.
