I installed Teline 4 bundled with Joomla on my server – clean install. everything was OK, until I changed some content, after which I could not log into the front end.
So I moved to another server, did another clean install with Joomla bundle. Same thing happened: Template came up looking just like on your demo, but the very first article I entered crashed the front end with this message (I think the same message I got on the other server)
Warning: Missing argument 1 for modJaNewsFrontpageHelper::__construct(), called in —–/public_html/modules/mod_janews_fp/helpers/helper.php on line 40 and defined in —–/public_html/modules/mod_janews_fp/helpers/helper.php on line 26
Fatal error: Call to a member function get() on a non-object in —–/public_html/modules/mod_janews_fp/helpers/helper.php on line 36
Backend seems fine but can no longer log into the front end at http://www.retiredonvacation.com/index.php.
Also, even for the short period that the template worked, I couldn’t log into the front end using http://www.retiredonvacation.com, but had to use /index.php. i have installed joomla probably 10 other times and never had that issue. I think I can correct when I install htaccess file but not sure of how???
Thanks in advance .

Choose for Caching > No caching (so simple)December 26, 2010 at 2:43 pm #368611You’re a genius! I turned off caching and things are back to normal.
Thanks very much for the tip. But I still need to use caching for its performance benefits so if anyone knows a workaround that enables caching that would be appreciated.
March 9, 2011 at 11:48 pm #380611Turning off cache is not an option in my case (neither is it a solution, btw). Heavy duty sites need cache to spare repitive queries agianst the DB.
My impression is that this error happens because the code was written for 5.2 (or below) and we are running PHP 5.3.x.
The code should therefore be fixed. -
