October 20, 2010 at 2:52 pm #155467I’ve installed JA Ores in my localhost for a test from quickstart. It seems the Slideshow 2 doesn’t work properly. here is part of the warning:

October 20, 2010 at 5:35 pm #359721It looks like you are using PHP5.3 on your local instal. Try switching to PHP5.2.x
I’ll investigate the reasons shortly.

October 20, 2010 at 6:14 pm #359730Can you try replacing the 2 files below (they are zipped into a folder attached) in your modules>mod_jaslideshow2 folder?
One is in that folder and the other is in the tmpl folder.

October 20, 2010 at 6:59 pm #359736Thanks Phill.
I’ve replaced newly downloaded helper.php under mod_jaslideshow2 folder and default_articles under mod_jaslideshow2/temp folder. This time there is no error but the slidershow didn’t show up.
Your first message suggested to switch from PHP5.3 to PHP5.2. Wondering if I still need to do so. If yes, how to switch back to PHP5.2 as I install everything with XAMPP.Phill ModeratorPhill

October 20, 2010 at 7:35 pm #359740I’ve just tested under php5.3 and the slideshow is working fine with the attached modified files. the second one should be in the mod_jaslideshow2/tmpl folder
You should with these mods stick to php5.3. Don’t worry about switching in xampp
