Hello,

I am having the above error message when am trying to install the joomla1.5 templates.

Please what could this be?

Its not letting me complete installation.

Is there something I need to install on my server?

Hello,

Try to install with out renaming configuration.php-dist to configuration.php.
At the end of the process edit configuration.php-dist –> copy and paste code –>rename it to configuration.php and save it to the root installation of your joomla cms folder.

I get the same error message. Did this solution work? I tried it as well but without luck. Maybe I was doing something wrong?

I had issues with the quickstart installation on WAMP server.
It wouldn’t let me pass the step after the database configuration.
With a bit of a search I found the solution
I had to edit the file /installation/sql/mysql/joomla.sql and change the TYPE=MyISAM to ENGINE=MyISAM

After that I would go through but it wouldn’t let me install the sample data.

I did the same thing (TYPE=MyISAM to ENGINE=MyISAM) to the /installation/sql/mysql/sample_date.sql file and it worked ok.

Hope it works on a live environment too.
