Sorry if this is answered somewhere but I searched the forum and blog and don’t see any kind of roadmap or schedule for any of the JA templates being 1.6 compatible (exept the blank T3) other than some nebulous references to “next few days” and “next couple of weeks.”

I have a new project that I’d like to use JA Teline IV but being a long term project also want to start it off using J!1.6. So is there any ETA for this template or any of the others? Which is the first to have a 1.6 version?

I’m also particularly interested in the Quickstart version of individual 1.6 templates.

    thanks
    Paul

    Hi,

It would be difficult to tag the schedule to the release dates of individual templates for J 1.6.

Please keep eye on the blog, as all releases will be announced there.

For now, 4 templates are scheduled to be released today / tomorrow and more are already lined up….

All would be marked beta and stable will be released once the 3rd party extension support if required (k2, jomsocial, agora, virtuemart..) are available.

Please have patience, JA is working overtime on this and with release of J 1.6 stable, its rolling out time.

The near-constant questions about when a version of template x supporting Joomla 1.6 will be released indicates two things: 1, how many people want to get beyond the strictures of 1.5 and 2, how important JoomlArt has become as an integral part of the platform.

Agreed on both. I’ve been in CMS since phpnuke and using Joomla since the early post-Mambo days. Not sure why I never joined Joomlart before. I’ve been a member of several other clubs but the templates and extensions are solid but more importantly you actually get responses to customer service and an honest effort to address issues!
Joomlart is now my Go To club. I check in every day. (hope to see JAEM updated soon to fix the known bug so I can start using it)
