Hi, First let me say I love your templates! But one thing I don’t understand is why you have so many available extensions but don’t make them available to download in one area? I have to search through your template files, download the template with extensions and then make sure I am on the latest version…For instance I would like to use your ja_slideshow extension in the Nagya 1.5 template. But it is not clear at all where to find it, unless i dig through all your templates to find where it was used.
Is there a reason for making it this difficult?

February 11, 2009 at 10:18 pm #290746Extension Club I imagine is the reason. The template club gives access to the many templates, which include many extensions. I am not an Extension Club member…. yet…. but I am going to go WAY out on a limb in guessing that if I did join the Extension Club, not only would I get access to the many extensions, but probably also a way to make them work properly with ALL templates… not just the templates they reside on. I have noticed that the way the templates are written, many extensions require a lot of work to get them to work on a different template. More work than I am willing to do in fact.
Once I know for sure if I join the Extension Club I will get instructions how to make them work properly on any template, then I will definately join that too…. which I am sure is the goal of the designers in making this little task you mention a bit difficult.
If I were them I would want to be compensated for my work too… but it is a bit frustrating for us I agree.
I would guess that most of the feedback you get from this post will suggest you join the Extension Club to have easy access to all of the extensions available.
February 11, 2009 at 11:49 pm #290761Yes…I am new to JoomlArt and didn’t even realize I was only in the Template Club. So there is a separate cost for the Extension Club. I have no problem with paying for good software/script but I guess I didn’t find it clear enough..although now that I am looking for it, it seems clear enough. I have used YooTheme for a few other projects and they included extensions/templates in one membership price, so I guess I was expecting the same.
Anyway, Thanks for you response. Looks like I need to join the extension club!

February 12, 2009 at 2:07 am #290775yes you could join the extension club or just get the developer membership and you wont have to worry about stuff like paying for 2 types of membership or needing the copyright removal kit, etc etc
