I tried to install the content version component to my quickstart install of Edenite. It would not install because the quickstart version of Joomla is not the most up to date. Now I cannot uninstall the component, I get xml error. What should I do? the Uninstall program suggested removing the extension manually. How do I do this? Thanks

Extension vanished, don’t ask me how. However if I want to use it, I need joomla 1.5.4. The Joomla that came with the quickstart was Joomla! 1.5.3 Production/Stable

I downloaded it a few weeks ago, why is the Joomla not up to date? How do I install the newest version of Joomla over my installation?

Hello,

I have just downloaded the quickstart and it contains the latest version of joomla.

Version in the current download is 1.5.15 (latest)

It is also easy to update joomla and everyone should do this for mostly security reasons. Every joomla you install will be outdated sometime so its important to keep up with updates.
