    Dear Joomlart,

I’m a fan: I believe your products are great. Yet, I’m very disappointed with my performance in installing the quickstart JA Wall. This is what I’ve done. Please tell me what I’ve done wrong. I will send you coordinates to the site once I’m done with this note.

1 – I have logged into my server at Amazon using Putty and WinSCP. There I have created a new database and a user with full access rights. I a previous attempt I even got rid of the previous database, but then the whole site wouldn’t show.
2 – I downloaded the Quickstart package, unzipped it and copied it completely to the htdocs directory. I then started the application and I was told to delete the Installation directory, as if everything was already there. I did that and the application started running, but the site didn’t ask me to define which database I would use, so I guess it is still using the old one..
3 – Since I couldn’t find the JA Wall template in the Templates Manager, I copied the template again, standalone.
4 – I also copied all the plug ins and modules as well, because the wouldn’t show in the manager.
5 – I wonder if I also need the latest K2. Your documentation doesn`t say much.

After all that, and having activated the template, this is what I have: http://184.73.253.1/joomla/

As you can see, a far cry from what is seen in the demo…:)

I will send you the coordinates to the administration and to access via FTP.

    I hope you can help.

Again, thanks for trying to do something memorable.

    Hi dinamoxx,

    Thank for purchasing,

First, make sure you have read the guide. Set your server configuration and then install a clean package.

    Hi Wall Crasher,

Thanks for the reply: I have figured out how to make the install in an Amazon AMI that runs a Bitnami stack!

Thanks a lot for the reply.

    Best,
