On Teline V AddThis FB share button picks images from the site randomly. Client not amused. Attached image shows completely wrong image when posting link to http://printindustrynews.com/en/hk/hong-kong-news/935-gaahk-2

    How to fix?

    Hi Pankaj,

I have installed it but it doesn’t work for me. Puts error message at top of article and FB button doesn’t offer to Post anything on FB. Only offers Like button. Much of the terminology in this plugin is mysterious 🙂 http://printindustrynews.com/en/12-industry-news/prepress/1217-new-efi-fiery-dfes-for-xerox-color-c60-c70-printers-boost-color-performance-and-productivity

Found I had to turn on Share in FB options. But it still defaults to wrong image on any article I’ve tried. No better than AddThis FB share. Both useless wrt images, so far.

    Pankaj,

On 3 other sites I’ve built, using different JA templates, the AddThis FB share button shows the correct image. On Teline V no image shows and the wrong image is posted to FB. Smells of a Teline V bug to me.

    Hi Tim
No its not issue from the template , As u know facebook Need Open graph tags to pick the correct thumbnail, title, description .
You can post the URL of article Here and check the OG tags are not present on your site : https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/
You will see the issue is due to the Open graph tags .

    Pankaj,

I’m sorry I wouldn’t know an OG tag if I met one in the street. Please tell me what client who posts must do to ensure correct image gets posted. Does he have to add OG tags in some way? I don’t even see a way to prevent images being posted. I’ve always disliked FB and my mind has not changed one iota.

The Social 2s support site is not very helpful. I don’t see how to add an "og:image" tag to a Joomla article. Can you explain it ?

    Hi Tim
I suggest you use Open graph extension from JED , that helps you to add OG tag in Joomla .
I also saw now the site is using OG tag and image on sharing is fine : http://prntscr.com/d89lkx

For social2s , i am afraid i am not familiar with this extension , i suggest you check the issue with 3rd party extension for its working Here
