I have had a few issues resolved through support tickets, so here is a public thank you for that guys!

However I have an issue which I will throw openly on here as I do not understand the reply from support and maybe somebody else can assist?

My Facebook looks horrible because it pulls in the thumbnail: http://79.170.44.98/kevinairey.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&layout=blog&id=97&Itemid=502

Your Demo of Wall is perfect: http://www.joomlart.com/demo/#joomla25-templates.joomlart.com/ja_wall/?utm_campaign=wall&utm_source=demotb

How can I control this so I get the bigger images and not thumbnails like you have?

Maybe I have to post images differently where I have control of the upload of them, please explain how?

    Thanks again….

Sorry guys the answer is there is no solution !!!!

Basically as I understand it we cannot get a full size quality image from Facebook, unless the image is posted to your page via something like Flikr….

This means that if I want to share anything of interest on Facebook to my page I can only get the small thumbnail image to display, which looks terrible.

The only answer is to copy the image, post if on Flickr the share it on your page and rewrite any text, pain in the arse if you ask me…..

That’s how I understand it to work anyway, will post the answer next that I received…..

This was the reply I got from Wall Crusher who has been helping:

    Hi Kenvin,

We use feed to get data from facebook. There are two type of image share on facebook.

If you share an image from an external link, for ex Flickr. We will get the link like this.
    http://external.ak.fbcdn.net/safe_image.php?d=AQB8nvpGm_Sz9k7N&w=99&h=116&url=http%3A%2F%2Ffarm8.staticflickr.com%2F7168%2F6477336109_ae49d2e244_m.jpg&cfs=1
The image source will contains the link to original source
    “http%3A%2F%2Ffarm8.staticflickr.com%2F7168%2F6477336109_ae49d2e244_m.jpg”
As the result, we will get the high quality image which we have on our wall to make it looks nice.

If you post an image directly to your wall by using image upload function of facebook, you may end up having the resized image.
    http://photos-g.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/556103_418481434840102_100000347482211_1324307_2013699716_s.jpg
So the result image will not be good as yours original one.

We can only get what facebook provide through feeds. This is the limitation.

    For ex:
Go to this link and press the facebook share icon on the top of image and share this image to your wall. You will have a good result.

    Hi
    @kenvin, Thank for your reply.
@all, I am sorry but there is no real solution. We have to workaround since we can not control what facebook returns.

When U look into the html codes of the of the articles created via social feed plungin for facebook content U will see that those ‘thumbs’ are ending with _s (f.e.: ……3874_1113678024_s.jpg) change the ‘s’ at the end bz an ‘b’ (f.e.: ……3874_1113678024_b.jpg) and u will se that u receive the big images!.

At least this runs at my page.
