Hi everybody,

is the extension ok with the facebook terms and conditions? It is said there:

You must not incentivize users to use (or gate content behind the use of) Facebook social channels, or imply that an incentive is directly tied to the use of our channels.

Your extension is exactly doing that: gating content behind the use of Facebook Social Channels, so I wonder if this is allowed or if it might result in the site being kicked from facebook.

    All the best, Julian!

    Hi Julian,

Did some quick research on this issue and actually the above guideline is focused on the contest part in which one has to compulsory like or share to gain entry or registration.

The intended use of JA Social locker is to provide options to provide discounts or information in an optional way, one can always go back to their timeline or twitter and delete the share if they want to. Some of the interesting related topics i found are :

Hope that helps but I do feel we should put a disclaimer for the product and ask the users to make sure that their intended usage of this extension is within the scope and terms of use of social channels.

    Regards

    Arvind
