February 21, 2008 at 9:50 am #239694Update: no update.
Nothing happened, no answers, no solutions.
I have wasted enough time.
Hung, I offer you two solutions – you choose.
1. You issue a 30$ refund for my 6 month membership,
I keep using the templates and will find myself someone to fix them.2. You issue a full refund of my payment (Paypal transaction ID # 6GT00140GE9979504), I walk away and do not use any of your templates on my domains in the future.
Just to sum up why I request a partial or full refund: your staff gave out false information before I purchased and you use misleading sales copy. After sale there is no support and a very obvious unwillingness to solve reported bugs.
This is somewhere on the border between “false advertizing” and fraud and as such not covered by ยง II/8 or II/9 of your ToU.
As I said in another thread: no-one comes here for fighting, but for working templates.
But your policy of ignoring people until they eventually walk away and “forget” their money is a good way to create enemies.
I expect a timely resolution of this matter, so we can avoid further hassle and waste of time & ressources.
Thank you.
Martin Hoffmann

Hung,
- you ignored my last post
- the update you are referring to does not exist, at least not in the club download area. I told you via PM and I posted it in the update thread
so please get my refund (partial or full, see offer above) sorted, on Tuesday I will have to escalate the matter to Paypal and file a complaint with them.
sorry, I hate this kind of useless quarrels, but obviously thats the only way to do business here.elfenwald Friendelfenwald

February 26, 2008 at 11:30 am #240217ok, to acknowledge the recent developments:
the Fagus bugs which I complained about have been fixed in the latest 1.5.1 quickstart, and looking at the current activity on the forums it seems like JA has decided to do something about the situation.
Good.
Still the fact remains that people were sold on misleading advertizing and fixing of the bugs took over 3 weeks and a lot of ranting and pushing and pulling… (other 1.5 packages are still not usable btw and will take even longer).
This is usually reason enough for a full refund.JA will have to find a solution for that – either partial or full reimbursement of the current membership fee (while leaving the membership as is) or free upgrade/renewal.
Clear statement please what your stance is on that.

February 26, 2008 at 3:33 pm #240245Fagus fixed is good. That means the SEF issue has been figured out and should then be an easier transition to fix them all. That is a good step in the right direction. ๐

February 27, 2008 at 4:21 pm #240422The QuickStart includes Joomla, the template and the demo database. This is a great way to to get started as once installed your site will look just like the demo. You just start changing everything as far as content to what you want to appear in the different areas and it teaches you where you need to go to create new items.
