    It is very nice . . . .

Since it’s for a singer, this is one of the few times I might recommend adding some audio clips as the site opens of your wife’s songs – with the option to turn it off (if the viewer so wishes). I dunno, just seems that someone logging on to a singer’s website should almost expect (and/or want) to hear the singer’s voice right off the bat.

Just my two cents . . . the site looks very very nice.

I like the overall simplicity of it – but with enough functionality to make it work well.

Very nice site. Only thing i would suggest is to put what country she’s in somewhere, went to the gig guide and it didn’t say their either.

    Well done.

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ve added some text to the homepage, but my wife is the word-smith, so I’ll get her so fix it properly later.

Hello. Nice looking website and great voice! 😀

I have a few comments for your consideration…

    1. I disagree with music starting at the opening of a website. To me it is annoying and unwanted. I would rather choose to press play to hear some music.
    2. Home Page: Make use of the module positions — perhaps an image with a link to the music page, a link to a myspace page, abbreviated list of upcoming gigs,…
    3. News: I am more of a fan of having articles listed one in a row, but totally personal preference
    4. Gigs: Consider using a component such as Gig Calendar or EventList. Gig Calendar CSS can be changed and modules for adding upcoming gigs to your home page. An example can be seen on http://www.mosickmusic.com (a friend’s website that I need to update now that I have learned more about Joomla and have access to great Joomlart templates!)
    5. Recordings: Nice use of the mp3 player and great CD cover! If the CD is for sale, perhaps setting up a CDBaby account and putting a link on the site to your CDBaby account. To me this is easier than virtuemart, which is also a good example.
    6. About: Why have the “read more” link. Put everything on the About page.
    7. Photos: Looks like you are using SmoothGallery + Lightbox Joomla Mambot Ajax. This is a great looking module, but takes a bit of a long time too load all the pictures. Can the picture sizes be reduced? Another suggestion for a great photo gallery is SlideShowPro. The is a Joomla module or it can be “wrapped” into a website. SlideShowPro.net required purchase, but a nice slide show.
