December 6, 2012 at 6:02 am #182863Having trouble installing ja jobboard component to my Mendozite site.
If I install from directory do I need to extract the com_jajobboard.v1.0.3.zip package and upload the files to, say the tmp folder and install from there.
Can I scrub my whole installation and just install using the quickstart package, then add templates for the look/style I want?
Thanks for your help.

December 6, 2012 at 6:37 am #475337Hi Jerrelln,
Please make sure that your server allows to upload more than 2MB file. By default the size limit is set to 2MB in the php.ini . You can confirm the same with your server admin / provider.
Since, JobBoard is a complex component i would advice to install the quickstart and take advantage of demo content and settings. You can always install JobBoard on your current site using standard Joomla installation.
You can read more about manual installation for extensions in Joomla at : http://docs.joomla.org/Installing_an_extension

February 12, 2013 at 8:46 pm #483239Hi,
a daft question probably, but is the Quickstart version the same as with the templates whereby it installs Joomla also? I can’t use it if this is the case and would instead require to do the standard installation. Where would I find the standard installation guidance?
Regards

February 23, 2013 at 4:07 pm #484299Hi Ninja Lead,
I meant for installing JA Jobs Board – whether I could use the quickstart on an already installed Joomla site, or where I could find the installation process to just install the standard jobsboard
Kind regards

February 25, 2013 at 9:43 am #484420Hi Melanieb,
No, the quickstart is as a Joomla fresh package.
<blockquote>I meant for installing JA Jobs Board – whether I could use the quickstart on an already installed Joomla site</blockquote>You need to download JA Jobboard package with type is component http://wiki.joomlart.com/images/b/b0/J25-download.png . Then install it as the screenshot http://wiki.joomlart.com/images/b/b9/J25-browse.png
Plz check out user guide http://wiki.joomlart.com/wiki/JA_Job_Board_2.5/Installation_Guides

March 27, 2013 at 5:43 am #487957I cannot get anything to install. php.ini is set high enough. Nothing will install. What exactly is the quickstart? It is not clear either in your wiki or your explination above. you didn’t answer Melanie- Does Quickstart (jobboard) contain an entire Joomla package? Or is Quickstart (jobboard), only a ja jobboard component that includes all plugins?
